I headed out for the weekend to Little Salmon Lake to do some rigger fishing
this past weekend. I have never seen such brown water in a large lake in all
the years I’ve fished! Little Salmon in the past has been a good weekend
fish with at least a fish or two around 20 lb but the water was so murky the
fish finder couldn’t register bottom and 4 fish all weekend showed that
visibility underwater was pretty bad. Water is around 4 feet higher than
last year and rising! Camping is great, but if you’re going up there for
some fishing, the pickings are slim!
We did catch one 15lb Pike on the rigger at 60 ft, very strange!!
