I was there Sat morning to Sunday afternoon.
Fishing the koot on Saturday saw NOTHING, no one, nobody catch anything – water was quite high and there were, at one time, six seals hanging out in the river. AFG was doing a coho survey over the weekend and talking to the survey girls, nobody was landing anything.
Sunday started at the koot and then headed out to 14 mile on the ‘kat where I saw a guy snag on coho in the back while fly fishing – that’s it. Heard RUMORS of a 19lb coho being caught at Chilkoot Lake on Sunday AM but that’s it – and if one fish caught is news, that tells you how bad it was over the last few days.
