Had a great night fishing at Jackson Lake. My friend Derek and I caught grayling, rainbow and a lake trout. We had luck on all kinds of small Woolly Buggers and some nymphs.
It was pretty cool to see the fish hold true to their form…the Rainbow fought like stink doing aerials, the Grayling tugged and tugged trying to get free and the Lake Trout tried to stay low. No bugs and some rising fish as well, but no luck (again) on the dry fly. Great lake for beginners because it is shallow in most areas, lots of feeder streams that allow for easy casting and tight lines. Sorry, no picture of the Rainbow.
