Tarfu Lake Report (from Elysia, St. Johns, Newfoundland)

June 21, 2006 at 7:12 pm

Hey Dennis,

We ran into you the other night at Jackson Lake and you said you were going to write an article on our family visit with my brother Andre the fisherman. I think I mentioned we were going to TARFU for some fishing the following day. Anyways, as usual I caught a big fish! A huge Northern Pike, we estimate it is around 15 pounds. I’ve attached a picture for your website or article. Thanks for your interest, we always enjoy a good fishing trip with Andre in the Yukon!

Dennis here…I met this family fishing Jackson the other night and they were great. Here were three generations of family fishing together until 10pm in order to get Andre’s sister her first grayling. To top this off they were heading to Tarfu at 5am the next morning. Elysia and her mother were visiting from Nfld. Have a look at the picture below.

Dennis again…congrats to Andrew Stark who finally caught his first fish at Tarfu this year around the same time…sorry but her fish is a fair bit more impressive for a number of reasons. That being said, Andrew does have incredible photos of his trip.
