Anglers to Mobilize….WHTV to Consider a Fishing Channel

November 12, 2007 at 12:22 pm

Forget global warming, the effects of fish farming on wild stocks, angler ethics…here is your issue.  WHTV needs a fishing channel in their mix.  I recieved an email from a local angler that WHTV would consider a fishing channel if enough people requested it.  With the snow flying, all angling couch surfers unite and be heard.  Contact WHTV Cable via email, phone and let’s add a couple of fishing shows to the mix.  Not those crappy ones where the guys hoot and hollar, overplaying small fish, and holding them out of the water for minutes while they high-five and talk crap….there are a couple of good ones out there.  Just have a look at the World Fishing Network line up.

Truth be told, I don’t have cable nor do I have time to watch TV, but you can watch a great deal of this stuff online.  Any favourites out there?  Personally, I like

Bell ExpressVu has had a free preview of the WFN for the last couple of weeks.

I must admit, that it is adictive at times, even to have it on as background noise is better than some of the other crapola on TV (wife has Dancing with the Stars on in the background as I check my email/rss feeds - shoot me now, please!)

What I find interesting on WFN is some of the global shows showing what fishing is like in the rest of the world. (they gots some strange fishies in Australia)

Hey George:

Ouch…Dancing with the Stars.  That almost as a bad as the endless hours of the kids Treehouse “This is Daniel Cook”.

I was able to sneak in a couple of WFN shows between all the other kids crap in my recent trip to Vancouver.
